I'm a huge lover of the primitive/antique/country decor. I absolutely love it all! I could spend days and tons of money re-decorating my house to this style, however; my husband and I are trying to save all we can to build our dream home (a log house). So for the time being, I'm living on our 40 acres in a two bedroom mobile home on a very strict budget. I call this place my practice home, I get to decorate, paint, try things out and basically play designer Pam. So I've done a lot of re-making, make-overs, and re-purposing of things I find at thrift stores and yard sales. So here are some my favorite finds..
Everything on the table only cost me $30. I've re-made a couple of the things here already.. The star plate in the back was just a wooden plate that I painted black and stensiled the stars, and the two little bowls in the front, they had this weird apple thingy painted in them, so I painted them creme, then distressed them, stained them and stenciled the crows. The black and white spice box in the back, was this awful green with painted veggies on each of the drawers, I'm not completely happy with it yet. I may re-paint it. And that blue cabinet, I want to re-do it, but I haven't decided how yet. I'll post before and afters of that when I figure it out.
Well to all my future followers ....Happy Thanksgiving1
